Since graduating from The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre, Stephen has enjoyed a diverse career as an actor, teacher and director.
His first musical, The Music Man with The Production Company led to many more including Bye Bye Birdie, South Pacific, Carousel, Oklahoma!, Little Me, 42nd Street, Follies, The Boyfriend and Sugar. Other productions include The Boy From Oz, Shout!, Pippin, Dusty – The Original Pop Diva, Jekyll and Hyde, Carrie and Legally Blonde.
In 2011 he was awarded the Mike Walsh Fellowship and subsequently trained at HB Studios in New York City.
On television he has appeared in Winners and Losers, Blue Heelers, Mornings with Kerri-Anne and Dancing With the Stars.
Most recently he directed the highly successful season of Avenue Q for the MICF. His other directorial credits include Pippin, Doubt: A Parable, Elegies, Hello, Dolly! and My Favourite Year. Stephen is also the Director of Musical Theatre at Spectrum Dance in Melbourne.
