Soon after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre at WAAPA in 2003, Sophie made her professional debut playing Soupy Sue in the Australian premiere of Urinetown: The Musical with Melbourne Theatre Company.
Since then she has appeared in the world premiere of King Kong (Cassandra alternate), Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (Diva - for which she received a Green Room Award), Grease - The Arena Spectacular (Jan), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jerry Springer: The Opera, Xanadu, Milk and Honey, Motherhood the Musical, High Society and the return season of Urinetown: The Musical for Sydney Theatre Company, playing both the roles of Soupy Sue and Little Sally.
Her love of newly developed works has also seen her contribute to many workshops including The Hatpin, Shane Warne: The Musical, An Officer and a Gentleman, Matthew Robinson’s Atlantis and Sing on Through Tomorrow and Andrew Lippa’s vocal workshop as part of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. Sophie has also appeared in Hats Off, Light the Night, Twisted Broadway and Broadway Unplugged.
Television appearances include GMA with Bert Newton, Mornings with Kerri-Anne, Dancing with the Stars, The Footy Show, Neighbours as well as the AFI Awards and the Helpmann Awards.
